Hip-Hop Hub

  • Culture & history: connected practices, a starting timeline, and archival sources.
  • Styles & sounds: 36 styles, eras, and approaches with roots, artists, listening routes, exercises, and related entries. Browse the A–Z index or filter by family and entry type.
  • Scenes around the world: eight local entry points across four continents.
  • Albums & guided listening: focused questions, release links, and personal notes.
  • Learn to rap: original exercises, optional progress, and a verse notebook.
  • Hip-hop dictionary: searchable definitions and examples with shareable term anchors.

  • Song breakdowns: Lose Yourself, Stan, DNA., DUCKWORTH., Dear Mama and Changes, with song maps, three analysis lenses, original exercises and optional notebook notes.

Styles, scenes, listening, song breakdowns, and dictionary pages support ?q= and ?group= together. Styles also supports ?kind= for entry types; song breakdowns uses it for learning focuses and ?group= for artists. Entries have stable anchors. An anchor takes priority over filters so a shared entry stays visible; style and song anchors open their details. The notebook is temporary until device saving is enabled; download it before leaving the page if saving is off or unavailable.
